Isobel- maybe don’t watch Babyteeth. It is pretty heavy and I just started thinking about the movie in relation to all that you are going through right now and it might be triggering. But do check out the Sudan Archives. The song from the film was called Come Meh Way. ❤️

I can relate so much to your brief moment of forgetting in the morning, followed by an inability to forget all of the stresses of the world. I too have started limiting my news sources and my social media and it has helped. And routine as well has been my friend lately. I am doing a lot of painting lately which is a form of meditation for me. I don’t really do anything with 99% of my paintings i just like to put colors together and watch paint move on the page.

I think of you often and can only imagine the grief you describe. I can’t wIt to read your memoir as you have a great ability to speak clearly (and with humor and personality) about complex experiences and emotions. Glad you have started doing this. Looking forward to more.

PS- Thank you for the music recommendation. I added him to my painting playlist. I’ve become obsessed with Sudan Archives- I just watched the moved Babyteeth- you can rent it on Amazon. I loved the movie and i think you might enjoy it. One of Sudan Archives songs is in the movie - and it was my favorite scene. Actually the whole soundtrack is great.

I’m reading trash fiction set in the Caribbean because my brain can’t take anything heavier than a middle-aged love story.

Love you Is. Talk soon. xoK
